My Website Limited
is an online publishing company specialising in gardening, sculpture and travel websites. We derive revenue from individuals or companies that want to be found on the web who advertise themselves on our websites and from affiliate marketing where we capture the ever growing spend through top quality websites such as ours and earn revenue as commission from people that buy Online through our websites.

Our Flagship Website is THE Gardening WEBSITE, a 20,000+ page directory website covering every aspect of gardening. We also publish THE Sculpture WEBSITE which is also a very substantial website.

Our websites are "search engine optimised" and perform extremely well across all the major search engines so that people browsing the web will more often than not find exactly who and what they are looking for through our websites which will come up for literally thousands of the different search enquiries that are made through Google or the other major search engines.

Affiliate marketing is based around people who shop online. UK Shoppers are forecasted to spend £50 billion online this year and it is estimated that consumers save £18bn annually by shopping online as a result of the lower retail prices available on the net.

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's own marketing efforts

Affiliate Marketing for My Website Limited is the means by which we as an online publisher, promote and sell someone else's products or services from our websites and are then paid a commission, usually as a percentage of the sales price, when the visitor to our website clicks on one of our suppliers links and buys something.

The industry of affiliate marketing has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as 'the affiliate' - in this case us), and the customer.

Sales are achieved when we as the publisher publish a link with a code embedded into that link such as the banner at the top of this page with KUONI .

A visitor to our website who clicks on that banner and buys a holiday online enables the advertiser (KUONI in this example) to track where the source of the sale came from, through our unique identification code and they will then pay us a commission based on the value of the sale, in this case the value of the holiday bought online from KUONI.

So if you as a visitor to this website clicked on the banner above and bought a holiday online to say, the Maldives at a cost of £5,000 and the commission was say, 5% then we as the publisher promoting KUONI on our website would receive £5,000 x 5% = £250.

Obviously this is illustrative. Commissions vary from merchant to merchant depending on the market in question and a wide range of market forces operating within that market.

While affiliate marketing can be highly profitable it is important to know that affiliate marketing is not easy money. Most people who try it make very little as it relies upon a number of key factors including:

  • quality and quantity of traffic to the website - this is fundamental
  • promoting relevant products
  • promoting quality products
  • building trust with visitors to our website
  • having a readership who is in a ‘buying mood’
  • being able to write clear and concise copy and making it as easy as possible for people to buy

Advertisers often prefer affiliate marketing as a way to promote their products because they know they’ll only need to pay when there’s a conversion - i.e they only pay the pre-agreed commission when an online purchase is made.

Publishers often prefer affiliate marketing because if they find a product that is relevant to their niche that earnings can go well in excess of any cost per click or cost per impression advertising campaign.

Like most things in business, the more you put into your website, the more you get out of it and that means all the factors that make people seek out and use YOUR website rather than your competitors websites.

We have included a virtual High Street which includes a wide range of Online Shopping opportunities and hope you will add "My Website" to your favourites when you shop Online.
